VPSA nitrogen generators work with an oil-free blower. Partly for this reason, these machines have a very long life: the absorbent can never become contaminated with oil residues. However, the machine’s vacuum pump is oil-lubricated. These pumps require a special type of oil, however, this is not always taken seriously. Be careful though, using the wrong oil – compare it to current car engines – can easily cause damage. A wrong oil type can lead to a pump having to be replaced. Or even lead to a fire.
